But the night ended horribly wrong for Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) serviceman Desmond Lim Boon Tong and his family. While they were making their way back to Mountain Home Air Force Base last Friday, the Chrysler van Mr Lim, 34, was driving crashed into a road median along a rain-slicked highway. His wife Irene Pey Ah Hoon, 33, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flung from the vehicle and died on the spot, according to a statement from the Idaho State Police.
