I was watching a Channel 8 programme with my two primary-school children at about 6.30pm on Sunday, when a lingerie commercial appeared for about 30 seconds, featuring models clad only in bra and panties. Does the Media Development Authority have any guidelines on the nature of advertisements that are allowed during prime time, when young, impressionable children could be watching television? If lingerie or similar commercials are allowed, are there guidelines on how revealing these should or should not be, and if so, how does MDA ensure that the guidelines are followed?
