The MDA is inviting the public to vote for new symbols for content ratings like PG, R21 & NC16

A new set of symbols for content ratings such as PG, R21 and NC16 is to be introduced this June, to standardise the look of these ratings for film, videos, free-to-air and subscription TV, said the Media Development Authority (MDA). There are currently three different sets of rating symbols. Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts Lui Tuck Yew (picture, in blue) announced this standardisation move at the launch of Media Fiesta 2011, a platform for Singaporeans to learn to discern information from various media. Mr Lui added the symbols are still under review. Members of the public can vote for their preferred symbols at roving interactive media exhibits - also known as Media Transformer - at four anchor events islandwide this March.
