If I had charged a dollar for every piece of advice I've given on which camera to buy, I would be pretty rich by now. Unfortunately, prospective camera buyers are constantly bombarded by marketing mumbo jumbo. No wonder they're confused. Apart from the usual questions about megapixels, image quality and pricing, consumers are also worried about weight and portability. And this is where the digital mirrorless interchangeable lens (DMIL) cameras have made inroads. The DMIL camera genre was essentially born when Panasonic and Olympus created the Micro Four Thirds (MFT) format in 2008.
