NEW YORK: The euro slipped against the dollar and yen on Wednesday as concerns over the eurozone debt crisis once again unsettled traders. At 2200 GMT the euro was traded at $1.2941, down from $1.3051 late Tuesday, though it still held ground above the 15-month low hit last Thursday of $1.2858. It slid to 99.28 yen, from 100.10 yen on Tuesday as well. The dollar meanwhile rose slightly to 76.71 yen from 76.68 yen. Market sentiment turned a little more negative Wednesday after data showed that Europe's commercial banks had deposited record amounts with the European Central Bank on Tuesday, suggesting that lenders remain reluctant to lend to each other amid ongoing market tension.
