Over 500 Firms Benefited From Construction Productivity And Capability Fund: Almost S$7M committed, mostly to sm...

More than 500 companies in Singapore’s construction industry have benefited from the Construction Productivity and Capability Fund (CPCF) . Small firms make up 65% of such beneficiaries. Since its launch in June 2010, almost S$7 million out of the S$250 million CPCF has been committed as of last month. In her Parliamentary update yesterday, Senior Minister of State for National Development Ms Grace Fu gave an update on initiatives to raise productivity in the construction industry: Over 1,400 applications from 400 companies were submitted to the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) for the Workforce Training and Upgrading scheme 10 applications approved and nearly S$3 million committed under the BCA Productivity Improvement Project scheme S$2.5 million approved for applications from 100 companies – mostly small firms – for BCA’s Mechanisation Credit scheme In addition...
