Long queues to update #DBS #POSB passbooks after news of unauthorised withdrawals

Following recent news reports on unauthorised withdrawals from DBS and POSB accounts , STOMPer Rachel saw long queues of people at ATMs in Yishun today (Jan 6). Apparently, many Singaporeans are now rushing to check if their bank accounts have also been compromised. Said the STOMPer: "I couldn't log into the internet banking (traffic busy) website so I went to update my passbook at the bank. "I went to an ATM machine at Yishun MRT Station at 10.50am this morning (Jan 06). There were two cash deposit machines but one was down, and there're about nine people in the queue. "As some people brought several passbook to update, it took even longer for the queue to shorten. "After that, while having lunch at Chong Pang at around 12pm, I saw people still queuing under the hot sun to update their passbooks."
