India pledges action over horse farmer with US$8b SAVE AMERICA!

NEW DELHI - INDIA'S finance minister Pranab Mukherjee said on Saturday 'appropriate action' would be taken against a horse stud farm owner accused of stashing over US$8 billion (S$10 billion) in Swiss banks. Mr Mukherjee's promise came as the Congress-led government is reeling from a slew of corruption scandals that have created huge headaches for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in his second term of office. Stud farm owner Hasan Ali Khan, based in the western city of Pune, is facing charges of concealing in Swiss banks over US$8 billion in illegal funds, known in India as 'black money.' A 'Look Out Circular' has been issued against Khan at all airports to ensure that he does not flee India.
