Football: Sundram returns to his old stomping ground

SINGAPORE: Kedah will forever hold fond memories for V Sundramoorthy. Sundram was part of the Kedah team that lifted the Malaysia Cup in 1990, when they beat the Lions 3-1 in the final. At the time, Sundram was one of a number of Singapore stars paid top dollar to play for Malaysian states. Tomorrow, he will return to Alor Star's Darulaman Stadium as head coach of the LionsXII, and sentiment will be put aside for 90 minutes against the Hijau Kuning as the Singapore outfit look to bag their first win of the 2012 Malaysian Super League (MSL). "I still meet up with some of my friends from Kedah and have followed their progress," Sundram told Today before last night's training session at the Jurong Stadium.
