DBS ATM fraud: 3rd suspect named in court case

A third suspect in the ATM skimming scheme that hit DBS Bank last week was named in court on Saturday, as two Malaysians were charged with possessing a machine and other tools to make false ATM cards. The men, Loke Siew Fei, 27, and H'ng Gaik Chin, 39, were arrested last Thursday at about 6.45pm at the Kim Tian Hotel on Lorong 22 Geylang after a raid by the Commercial Affairs Department, the police's white-collar crime unit. A third alleged accomplice, Chin Yew Pong, was named in the charge, but no other details were given. Police are continuing their investigation to find other syndicate members related to the ATM skimming operation targeting DBS and POSB customers last week. Loke and H'ng were found with one green plastic object in the shape of an ATM card slot, a grey, thin metal panel with a pinhole camera, a USB port and a laptop during the evening raid.
