#Why are 'suspicious-looking' #PRCs #collecting #ATM #receipts in #Chinatown?

STOMPer Cedric was concerned about the potential security lapse that may affect banking customers after he reportedly saw two foreigners who were unlocking the disposal bins of ATMs in Chinatown and collecting receipts from it. The STOMPer wrote: “I was withdrawing money from a UOB ATM at Chinatown when I saw two Chinese nationals whose actions looked a bit suspicious and who spoke in a heavily-accented foreign dialect. “I saw them collecting the receipts from the ATM disposal bins there. As the bins at the ATM were not locked, the two men opened them up and poured the receipts into their backpacks. “In light of the recent fraud case involving DBS bank, I hope UOB, as well as other banks, can be more alert to incidents like that and enhance their security."
