These giant rabbits cost $700 each

I believe this is the breed known as the Flemish Giant, or at least one of those related larger rabbit breeds from Europe. http://bit.ly/ddsP6o Interestingly enough, the North Korean government once contacted a German breeder of these giant rabbits, in the hopes of having its own rabbit farming programme to help feed the people of North Korea. However, after some rabbits sent over to help kick-start the programme, and the breeder was supposed to fly over to help with the implementation, the project was cancelled. He suspects that the rabbits were promptly eaten by officials, instead of being used for breeding.
