US woman sues Changi Airport Group for $250k after stepping on allegedly loose floor panel, causing injuries

By K.C. Vijayan, Law Correspondent An American woman who tripped on an allegedly loose floor panel at Changi Airport's Terminal 3 is seeking more than $250,000 for her injuries. Ms Stephanie Costonis, a vice-president at an American company, is suing Changi Airport Group (CAG) for negligence that led to the mishap on Dec 3, 2008. The incident occurred when the airport was managed by the group's predecessor, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. The latter's responsibilities and liabilities were inherited by CAG in July 2009. CAG is denying her claims and on Tuesday successfully applied in the High Court to add a third party - the maintenance contractor - to the suit.
