Lamborghini expands brand to hotels and coffee
SINGAPORE: Son of Lamborghini founder, Mr Tonino Lamborghini has expanded the car brand to include Lamborghini-themed hotels to Lamborghini branded fashion and coffee; after the family sold the Italian luxury car business. The 63-year-old recently visted Singapore to admire a rare 1972 Lamborghini Espada, owned by his Singaporean business associate who distributes the Lamborghini coffee. Mr Kumar Balasingham, CEO of the JSD Group, said, "He is a man who does things out of passion. He doesn't look at the commercial. He looks at the design aspect and what he thinks could be the next thing". While Mr Lamborghini is no longer involved in the car business, back home in Italy he has built a museum in honour of his father, where he has a private collection of some 20 cars and other memorabilia to continue the family legacy.
