4 new measures to improve taxi service

LTA has outline new measures to enhance the level of service in the taxi industry. -- ST PHOTO: SAMUEL HE THE Land Transport Authority (LTA) has outlined new measures to enhance the level of service in the taxi industry. The LTA will: * Extend the monitoring of call-booking standards to include the morning peak period from 6 am to 11am; * Refine the computation of call booking performance from averaging over three-hour period to one-hour period; * Make the results of taxi companies' service performance available to the public by publishing the results of the Quality of Service performances monthly and Mystery Customer Audit surveys on its website quarterly; and * Improve taxi signage and information at taxi stands/stops. These measures will take effect from Oct 1.
