590 extra train trips per week will be added to the North-South-East-West Line and North-East Line from middle of March

SMRT will roll out 420 of these 590 trips per week on the NSEWL from March 13 - 260 on weekdays and the remaining 160 trips on weekends. -- ST PHOTO: ALPHONSUS CHERN AN ADDITIONAL 590 train trips per week will be added to the North-South-East-West Line (NSEWL) and North-East Line (NEL) from the middle of March. SMRT will roll out 420 of these 590 trips per week on the NSEWL from March 13 - 260 on weekdays and the remaining 160 trips on weekends. SBS Transit will add another 170 trips per week on weekdays on the NEL from March 21. The operators will also be extending the train service hours on the eve of all public holidays, with operating hours for the eve of Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year extended to 2am.
