SINGAPORE - With Cupid yet to work his magic on the growing pool of singles in Singapore, the Government is stepping up its efforts to help singles find their partners. Among other things, it will work with universities, polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education to raise awareness on issues relating to romance and human relations. So far, the Government has reached out to 80 per cent of tertiary institutions, said the Minister of State for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Mrs Yu-Fu Yee Shoon. Other strategies to help Cupid achieve more success with his arrows include working with employers from public and private sectors to help their employees find their other half; help set up more dating agencies; and raise public awareness of dating and relationship issues through the media and Duet, the magazine published by the Social Development Network.
