HONG KONG: Brazillian football legend Pele greeted young aspiring footballers with an impromptu meet and greet session in Hong Kong; the final stop of his Asia tour. The football icon is touring Asia as honorary president of the New York Cosmos - the revived American club he made famous in the 1970's. The tour is to drum up interest and connect with potential sponsors and investors, as the club is vying to compete in 2014 World Cup. During the American Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Pele said a big danger to football is that today's top players are too focused on chasing money, and commented that they do not love the team or the game. "They sign with the team - they say, 'Oh I love Milan, I love Manchester!'. Tomorrow they go to Italy, they go to Brazil, or to Santos. They say, 'Oh I love Santos!'. They love a little bit more, (according to) the money they get", said Pele.
