'Soya sauce' loanshark runner suspect nabbed

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 36-year-old loanshark runner who's believed to have used soya sauce to commit harassment. The man, who was behaving suspiciously on Tuesday afternoon at Queen Street, fled when he saw police officers on their rounds. The officers soon caught up with him. He was found with two ATM cards, one black-ink marker, six disposable cups, a bottle of soya sauce and two mobile phones. He was arrested for suspected involvement in loansharking activities and the items were seized as evidence. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to have committed harassment for a loanshark by splashing a HDB unit at Jurong West with soya sauce earlier that day.
