SIA will increase its fuel surcharge for tickets issued on or after March 17. -- PHOTO: SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE Airlines will increase its fuel surcharge for tickets issued on or after March 17. This is due to the continued escalation in the price of jet fuel which has risen to US$130 (S$165) per barrel - the highest in two years. The new fuel surcharge levels will apply to Singapore Airlines and SilkAir flights. They represent an increase of between US$2 and US$26 per sector, depending on the distance and class of travel.
