More Singaporeans who want to be less connected are unplugging themselves from their gadgets

Recently, Singaporean artist Chan Sze-Wei, 31, decided it was time to step back from her Facebook page. She had been checking in on the social networking site on her BlackBerry smartphone more than five times a day. When she started doing it while she was driving, she knew she had crossed a line. 'That's how it starts, you know. You're reading updates, then soon, you're sending messages at the red light... it's so dangerous.' So, on Jan 3, she made a decision. She told her friends - on Facebook, where else? - 'New Year Resolution: To be less of a slave to BB (BlackBerry) and social networking!'
