Singapore Philatelic Museum ushers in LNY with dragon stamps exhibition

SINGAPORE: Three hundred dragon stamps will be showcased at the Singapore Philatelic Museum to welcome the Year of the Dragon. The year-long exhibition will run at the museum from January 23 until December. Widely regarded as a symbol of power and success, these mythological creatures are now immortalised in these stamps, which date as far back as 1959. Highlights of the international collection include 3-D stamps from South Africa and Australia. In addition, children will be able to explore a 'Dragon's Lair' where they can learn more about these creatures. And for those wanting to get their hands dirty, there's even a mock excavation pit to allow for the digging of fake miniature dinosaur bones.
