Thai Unique down 3.7 pct on concerns about train project

BANGKOK , March 10 (Reuters) - Shares in Thailand's Unique Engineering and Construction fell more than 3 percent on Thursday due to concerns about the legality of an auction for a train project several years ago. At 0302 GMT the shares were down 3.7 percent at 3.08 baht, while the broad marker was 0.13 percent lower. Newspapers reported on Thursday that a Thai court had ruled the auction process for construction work on the train project was illegal. In 2008, the company signed a contract with State Railway of Thailand (SRT) for construction of the 8.75 billion baht ($289 million) "red line" train project, which links Bang Sue in northern Bangkok to Taling Chan in western Bangkok.
