* Cenbank chief: to use all monetary policy tools * Inflation remains low, but seen rising * Cabinet approves plan to tax luxury goods TAIPEI , March 10 (Reuters) - Taiwan will use all monetary policy tools to pursue price stability, the central bank chief said on Thursday, in the latest sign of concern over the inflation problem that is facing Asian economies. Governor Perng Fai-nan, answering lawmakers' questions in parliament after delivering a regular report, also said that it was not possible to keep using currency appreciation to control inflation. "If price rises are due to the demand side factors, tightening monetary policy can be effective," Perng said. "If it's due to supply side factors, tightening has a wide social impact, so in making policy the central bank must use all available tools."
