NTU launches University Scholars Programme, aimed at grooming future leaders & innovators

The Nanyang Technological University is starting a new undergraduate programme that aims to attract and groom future leaders and innovators. Students in its University Scholars Programme will take specially designed small-group seminars, study for a semester overseas, and be mentored by top professors in the university. They will also be guaranteed accommodation at NTU throughout their four years of studies. The programme will take in 50 academically brilliant students from each freshman cohort, starting this year. Entry will be by invitation. Undergraduates from all disciplines, with the likely exception of medicine, will be eligible for selection. NTU associate provost of undergraduate education, Professor Kam Chan Hin, said the number of students selected for the programme may be increased in the future.
