But the report also noted that employers were scaling back on hiring due to the weaker economic outlook. Service and sales workers like waiters, security guards and shop sales assistants were most in demand, forming more than one in five of all vacancies. For professionals, managers, executives and technicians (PMETs), the many positions unfilled, were for teaching professionals (2,030 openings) and management executives (1,520). Also seeing large numbers of vacancies are jobs for assembly line and robot operators (1,210)...
