Planning a holiday? Japan National Tourism Organisation rolls out campaign to woo Singaporeans

Travellers may have Japan on their mind as the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO) rolls out a new campaign to woo Singaporeans. It will include promotions such as deep discounts for holidaymakers and it aims to reverse the drop in tourist numbers following the Japan quake and tsunami disaster last March. While visitor numbers have increased since the disaster, they have not returned to pre-disaster levels. The number of Singapore visitors fell by almost 83 per cent from 13,817 in April 2010 to just 2,400 last April.
