NMP-to-be Ms Tan Su Shan left PAP to be non-partisan voice

Ms Tan Su Shan left the People's Action Party (PAP) in November to become a Nominated MP as she felt that non-partisan voices are critical in today's heated political climate. 'This is an important time for me to serve, more than ever,' the DBS group head of wealth management told The Straits Times on Friday. Ms Tan, 44, was one of nine NMPs announced on Thursday following a three-month selection process. The NMPs will be sworn in on Feb14.
