Arts committee suggests "No Censorship Zone" for the arts: Yeah, how about a zone the size of, say, Singapore?

SINGAPORE - Calling for rules and regulations - such as the need for busking licences and measures to control lighting and noise - to be reviewed in certain precincts, the Arts and Culture Strategic Review Steering Committee recommended that the idea of "no censorship zones" be explored in some areas after factoring in, among other things, public order considerations. Such zones, akin to a Speakers' Corner where practically anything goes in the name of art, could be a possibility if they complement the branding and identity of a particular precinct, the committee suggested. But former Nominated MP Audrey Wong noted the danger of such zones becoming a ghetto of sorts for works that are effectively marginalised by mainstream society.
