The group of mostly Bangladeshi labourers refused to work, claiming their employers - Sunway Concrete Products and Techcom Construction & Trading - had not paid them their salaries since November last year. The amounts owed, they said, ranged from $2,500 to more than $3,000, depending on the number of hours worked. The incident, which began at about 8am on Monday, attracted the attention of the police at about 9.30am.
