Drugs worth over S$170,000 seized at Woodlands Checkpoint

SINGAPORE - Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers have intercepted a consignment of drugs worth more than S$170,600, meant for the domestic market. The consignment consisted of about 558 grams of Ice and 100 Ecstasy tablets. On Tuesday evening, CNB officers stopped a 27-year-old Singaporean man in a Singapore-registered vehicle for checks at Woodlands Checkpoint. His 54-year-old mother and 24-year-old girlfriend were also in the same vehicle. A black pouch was recovered from the centre console, between the driver seat and front passenger seat. It was found to contain two improvised glass pipes, ziplock bags and a weighing scale. The officers also found a detergent box in the car boot, which was tampered with to conceal three bundles of crystalline substances believed to be Ice and two packets containing a total of 100 tablets believed to be Ecstasy.
