2 Malaysian athletes face 2-year ban after failing doping test and will lose their medals
KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) - Two medal-winning Malaysian athletes at November 2011's Southeast Asian Games will likely face a two-year ban and their medals stripped after failing second doping test, a top official said on Saturday. 'They face a mandatory ban of at least two years and would lose their medals,' Mr Sieh Kok Chi, secretary-general of the Olympic Council of Malaysia told AFP. Mr Sieh said their 'A' samples had tested positive for a banned substance in December and subsequently the 'B' samples, confirmed the initial results. 'The pressure to win is so great. They think it is a risk worth taking. I am not shocked by their actions,' he said.
