MOE to boost students' sports participation

SINGAPORE: A physical education (PE) syllabus that develops students' character and ensures they can play at least three core sports by the time they leave secondary school is being worked out. The Ministry of Education will be doing this in line with the Singapore Sports Council's Vision 2030 plans to help equip students for life-long sports participation. The sports council could also introduce "Super Sports Clubs" into the community. Students who take part in these clubs outside of school may be able to score LEAPS points, or what was formerly known as CCA points. These points help students get into post-secondary institutions.
