Passengers told to alight at Yio Chu Kang after train crawls just 2 stops in 30 min
says the train he was travelling on this morning (Feb 14) was moving at a snail's pace, managing to travel only from Yishun to Yio Chu Kang in half an hour. Passengers were eventually forced to alight at Yio Chu Kang. A similar delay had also occurred yesterday at Lakeside MRT at about 4pm in the afternoon. The STOMPer related the incident: "Just now, when SMRT tweeted that there was a 'slight' delay on train services headed to Marina Bay, I knew something was not right. "It's not just a 'slight' delay. It took us 30min to travel from Yishun to Yio Chu Kang. "Is that a 'slight' delay? And what's worse, there were no light signs on the train and they tell us we all need to alight at Yio Chu Kang. "These are some images I was able to take after passengers alighted at Yio Chu Kang. Aiyo. "Is SMRT still having track problems? Until when? This is happening almost everyday. Tsk."
