Mustafa centre was the No.1 target for shoplifters last year, with 570 cases of theft - more than 5 times that of No. 2

At Mustafa, purchases, no matter how small, are usually secured in plastic bags with a cable-tie, to prevent anyone from sneaking goods they have not paid for into their bags. Big bags have to be checked in outside, and closed-circuit TV cameras scan every floor. But all this has not curbed the problem.
