More youths reading, sharing own content through citizen journalism: Survey

Singaporean youths are not just reading but compiling and sharing their own content online through citizen journalism. The younger they are, the higher the percentage, as at least 70 per cent of this group of 'active content providers' are aged between 15 to 24. Singapore Polytechnic revealed the findings on Tuesday in a survey conducted by over 100 students taking its Diploma in Media and Communication. About 393 males and 408 females between the ages of 15 and 35, were questioned in shopping malls, MRT stations and bus interchanges.
