'We are preparing a proposal for providing our partners with support,' news agencies quoted Mr Sechin as telling President Dmitry Medvedev during a Kremlin meeting. 'In the nearest future, we could redirect around 6,000 megawatts for delivery to Japan,' Russia's top energy official said. Earlier reports said the power shipments could be diverted to Japan through an existing undersea cable.
