Falling below the 3,000 points support level to 2,946.08, it's the lowest the Straits Times Index (STI) has been since August 2010. Meanwhile in Tokyo, stocks shed more than 10 per cent as Japan's nuclear crisis deepened after two more blasts and a fire at an atomic power plant.
