Golf: Tseng eyes HSBC Women's Champions title in Singapore #golf

SINGAPORE: Last year was her most successful so far but despite 12 wins, including seven on the LPGA Tour, Yani Tseng remains hungry for more silverware. The Taiwanese world No 1 is the headlining act for this week's US$1.4 million (S$1.8 million) HSBC Women's Champions golf championship, which tees-off on Thursday at the Tanah Merah Country Club's Garden Course. Despite a low-key arrival at Changi Airport on Monday, a small group of more than 20 supporters and well-wishers, including those from the local Taiwanese community, still turned up to welcome the five-time Major winner. Barely 24 hours after lifting the Honda LPGA Thailand trophy for a second straight year - and her first win on the LPGA Tour this season - 23-year-old Tseng has set her sights on a maiden HSBC Women's Champions victory.
