New industry scholarship launched

SINGAPORE: The government has launched a scholarship under a unique partnership with enterprises and organisations to develop a strong core of Singaporeans to anchor strategic sectors. The Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) is being offered by the Ministry of Education (MOE). It is working with the Economic Development Board (EDB) and other government agencies. This was announced on Tuesday by Minister for Education Heng Swee Keat at ST Aerospace's groundbreaking ceremony for a new hangar at Seletar Aerospace Park. The scholarships are open to Singapore citizens for undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Technology and Design, and Singapore Institute of Technology.
