More unauthorised DBS Bank ATM withdrawals: I transferred my savings to another bank. An account with no ATM card.

Fraudsters have again hit DBS Bank ATMs, this time stealing $23,000 from 17 customer accounts last Sunday. -- ST PHOTO: DESMOND LIM By Robin Chan Fraudsters have again hit DBS Bank ATMs, this time stealing $23,000 from 17 customer accounts last Sunday. Security measures involving SMS alerts warned those customers early, when the withdrawals were made, which helped contain the scam. The bank reimbursed the cash within 24 hours and de-activated the ATM cards of other account holders it felt were at risk. The incident is related to the fraud in January when about $1 million was stolen from 700 customers. Criminals stole or 'skimmed' card details of customers using two DBS machines in the Bugis Street area and made unauthorised withdrawals in Malaysia.
