wonders why these barriers are needed at MRT stations. He points out that HDB parapet walls should also be built higher and overhead bridges be caged, if the intention is to prevent people from jumping off the platforms. The STOMPer wrote: "I'm wondering why SMRT is erecting these barriers on their elevated platforms? "Are they supposed to preventing people from jumping, or just sending a message? "Shouldn't HDB walls go full height, and overhead bridges be caged as well?"
