Construction sector deaths rise in 2010: SINGAPORE: Construction sector deaths inched upwards by one in 2010 com...

SINGAPORE: Construction sector deaths inched upwards by one in 2010 compared to the year before. There were 32 such workplace deaths last year. That accounts for 58 per cent of all workplace deaths in 2010. It also makes the construction sector the only sector that has not seen a reduction in workplace deaths last year, the Workplace Safety and Health Council said. Deaths in the marine manufacturing and other sectors have all dipped in 2010.
