The judge called for a probation report but that was ruled out on Wednesday because the youth already served probation for theft offences in 2006. At 12.30am on Nov 10 last year, Firdaus was at Jalan Minyak in the Chin Siew Road area with younger brothers Naim, 19 and Ruduan, 17, and friend Md Zulfikar Sibni. When stopped by police officer Khirul Ishan Jaafar, 25, and asked what he was carrying, Firdaus said in Malay that he had a bomb in his bag.
