#harassment Singapore considering laws to curb cyber bullying - Straits Times: Singapore is...

Singapore currently has no laws against cyber harassment, bullying and other antisocial acts on the Internet, unlike Britain, Australia, India and the US. -- TNP FILE PHOTO By Tessa Wong Singapore is considering introducing laws to combat cyber bullying and other forms of Internet harassment. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is studying the need for such laws, with the Law Ministry and Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts, said Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean. The ministries, while looking into the subject, will consider enhancing the ways a victim of a non-criminal wrongdoing, such as online defamation, can seek redress.
