[CNA] Temasek Holdings' executive director and president to retire

SINGAPORE: Temasek Holdings has announced that Mr Simon Israel, its Executive Director and President, will retire from his executive and board roles on July 1 this year. Mr Israel had been a member of Temasek Board since August 2005 and became an executive director and a key member of the investment firm's senior leadership since July 2006. He went on to assume the role of President last year. In a statement, Temasek Executive Director and CEO, Ho Ching, said; "While we will miss Simon's direct and very active participation at Temasek, we are all very pleased that we will be able to continue to engage and spar with him albeit in a different role as he continues to serve in his own individual capacity on the boards of some of the key Temasek-linked companies."
