ZAGREB - CROATIA said on Wednesday it would temporarily move its embassy from Tokyo to Osaka in the light of Japan's nuclear crisis. 'Due to current events in Japan, caused by consequences of the damages to the Fukushima nuclear plant, the Croatian embassy in Tokyo will be temporarily moved to Osaka,' the foreign ministry said. The ministry has already recommended to the estimated 40 Croatian nationals in Japan to leave the country. Serbia issued a similar call to some 100 Serbs on Tuesday. Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said the embassy would not move out of Tokyo, despite being damaged in the earthquake. However, only essential staff would stay in the capital, while others and their families would be moved to Osaka, he said.
