S'pore delegation at international teaching summit in New York

NEW YORK: The first International Summit on the teaching profession took place in New York City with representatives from more than two dozen countries. Among them, a delegation from Singapore, accompanied by Senior Minister of State for Education, Mr. S. Iswaran. The summit is the first of its kind, designed to engage different countries in an intensive discussion about promising practices for world-class education. Singapore's role as a leader in education was made clear at this summit with many participating nations crediting the country's education system. Mr Iswaran said it is all about quality teachers and student development.
