SINGAPORE : NTUC FairPrice and the Dairy Farm Group are working with the Singapore Red Cross to raise funds for victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. They are accepting donations from the public at their outlets islandwide. Dairy Farm said Red Cross collection tins will be placed at all customer service counters at Cold Storage, Market Place and Shop N Save supermarkets and all Giant hypermarkets. The collection tins will also be placed at the cashier counters at all 7-Eleven and Guardian Health and Beauty stores. This joint drive will end on March 31. In addition, Dairy Farm said it is also embarking on an internal drive to raise funds among its employees. FairPrice said funds raised will go towards the relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts for survivors. To kick-off the donation drive, it is contributing S$20,000 towards the fund.
