#China man spends S$2m on world's most #expensive dog while so many #starve

A new record has been set for the world's most expensive dog after a businessman from China spent S$1.9 million dollars to buy a red Tibetan Mastiff. A STOMPer feels that this is a ridiculous amount to pay for a dog while a large part of China's population is poverty-stricken. A wealthy coal baron from China has set the world record for the most expensive dog by spending US$1.5million, S$1.9million, on a red Tibetan Mastiff named 'Big Splash', or 'Hong Dong' in Chinese. The breed is considered a holy animal, and is believed to bring safety and health to their owners. The previous record was S$1.8million, also for a red Tibetan Mastiff. The STOMPer commented: "The rich-poor gap has widened to such an incredible distance.
